Calling All Experimenters !
In an attempt to guide new teachers in the world of Science the CSTA is assembling any and all of those practicals that experienced teachers have collected over the years. If you have a practical or experiment that has worked well for you please send details of it to HH@cashmere.school.nz for inclusion in a guide book.
New Antarctic Resources
As part of a bold and creative Outreach initiative by Gateway Antarctica a new range of resources for teachers and students is being made available online. Details and examples can be seen on the Antarctica webpage on this website.
Temple Basin - a precious insight into the alpine world
Temple Basin lies above Arthurs Pass and straddles the boundary between the east and west of the Southern Alps. Its unique alpine environment provides a popular, dramatic and compelling insight into New Zealand’s alpine environment - so much so that for 50 years many Cantabrians and ‘Coasters have had their ecological views and values moulded by school trips and personal visits to the comfortable facilities available here.
